Why Less is More: Simple Skincare and Makeup Tips for Confidence

As a French woman, I always have been very weary of my skincare and makeup routine. As some say, “less is more”. My skincare is pretty light. I focus on hydration, SPF, cure occasional spots with pharmaceutical products and voilà. I never really liked heavy makeup either. Daily, I like to put lip balm, my favourite being lightly coloured to enhance my lips, and I occasionally wear lipsticks -mainly nude or pink shades. Sometimes, I apply a little bit of tinted moisturiser on spots when I have blemishes, but I let my skin breathe as much as possible.

This routine makes me happy and confident. It helps me embrace the real me. Like everybody I am not perfect, and that’s okay.

I noticed many celebrities liked a lighter skin and makeup routine as well, Gracie Abrams, Madison Beer and many more. To be honest with you I see many celebrities with heavy makeup and without. And I think they are much more pretty without.

Don’t be afraid to go light on your skincare/makeup routine. You can go step by step. If that’s not your thing I support that if it makes you happy. Bare facing is just more me.

Similarly, I noticed many people started to accept their face as it is, aging for instance. Cameron Diaz admitted that she wanted a face that belonged to her. Sophie Marceau as well. Other celebrities said they regretted using too much lip fillers as it denatured them. And media showed some people doing at home lip filling and showing how unsafe if was.

Back to natural beauty is not just a trend it is a mindset that more and more people are trying to achieve. I hope this article will help you accept your natural beauty.

Lots of love,
