
Blending black and white geometric shapes, the design is this season’s go-to. It was seen during several fashion shows, including the one of the brand self portrait (picture of Vogue Business below).

I decided to rock the trend wearing a vintage suit.

When did houndstooth enter the fashion scene ?
Christian Dior introduced the pattern in haute couture in 1950, in France. That year, he coined a houndstooth tailleur and stilettos with Roger Vivier in 1959 (picture by icon icon below).

Dior soon inspired many other designers namely Balenciaga and Chanel.
Was the design popular in other countries?
The design was worn by Scottish shepherds in 1880. In 1930, it entered the British territory when king Edward VIII adopted the trend.
