Hermès carré club exhibit in Paris

Hello everyone I hope you are well. Today I went to the carreau du temple in Paris to visit the Hermès carré club exhibit. It was really nice and it is free. It lasts till December 8th so go for it if you can.

I met the artists who design Hermès carrés. Here are what they (or their collegues) told me.

-Virginie Jamin: She has been working for Hermès for 15 years. Her designs are mainly inspired by animals such as horses or dogs. It takes two years to make the transition between sketches and RL Hermès carrés.

Jan Batklik: He is inspired by animapolis and just joined the Hermès team. He is a Polish artist and designs some of his carrés with highlighters.

Mailis Vigouroux: She is just 20 years old. This year is dedicated to dreams for Hermès. Hence, the artist designed a carré combining dragons, knits, floating boats…

Liz Stirling: She mostly works with silk and designs creative installations.

Alice Shirley: The artist loves animals which is reflected through her designs mixing dinosaurs, zebras and giraffs which will be in the 2020 Hermès collection. She works at the museum of natural history.

Elias Kafourous: She uses pens to create Hermès carrés which I found singular.

This article is partly dedicated to my paternal grandfather who was fond of Hermès carrés.

What is your favorite pic? Have you been to this exhibit?

Let me know. Enjoy your weekend.
