The truth about Paris Fashion Week as a fashion blogger

Hello everyone I hope you are well. As you probably know PFW started last week.

Ever wondered what it was like to attend fashion shows and to be invited to fashion events? Let me share my experience with you.

Day 1: vernissage at an art gallery

This vernissage was rather interesting but more filled with art passionates than fashion lovers. Several sculptures were on display and I met nice people.

Day 2:fashion shows!

I was invited to two fashion shows on that day. The Nehera fashion show which I missed because I arrived late (unfortunately). I was also invited to the Mimii fashion show where I met a fashion blogger and a makeup artist. Mimii is a Spanish brand rather original. Girls had white braids and were dressed with original clothes.

Day 5: reception at the Serbian Embassy

I got a VIP entrance as a press member. Everything was posh inside and creations of Serbian designers were on display. We were greated with Serbian wine which was wraped in clothes.

How was it? I was really glad to be part of this. However, most of the guests were older than me and some were not that welcoming. But I tried to enjoy myself as much as possible and met a nice fashion designer (picture of the designer below).

Day 6: another fashion show

I went to the Tatras fashion show. I was greated with champagne (always nice). The clothes during the show were not really my style but I enjoyed it. However, the women sitting next to me lacked of diplomacy.

I didn’t go to the showroom presentation, wine tasting and fashion show I was invited to because I wanted to spend time with my family.

Day 7:

I was invited to the Agatha Ruiz de la Prada show and to a Serbian fashion show and got a staff badge. It was really interesting and I met nice people. I didn’t go to the other shows I was invited to because I had class.

I missed the Leandro Cano fashion show (which is sad because it was at the Spanish embassy). I also missed the Helsinki fashion week which I really wanted to go to.

Day 8: The Meurice hotel

I was honored to attend several fashion shows in this luxury hotel. There were designers from all over the world.

So what are your thoughts? Which event seems more appealing to you? Did you ever attend any fashion week and what was your experience?

Let me know.

  2. What a great opportunity! Being able to attend a big fashion show is a dream of mine–this was a great insight! It’s unfortunate that some of the people were rude, but I guess that comes with the territory. Glad you had fun!
