While music streaming and wireless earphones have risen among Gen Z these couple of years, more and more youngsters are nostalgic of their childhood.
Wired earphones and square Ipods have become cool again. Gen Zers are rocking these items again as an attempt to reconnect to their teen years and to live a simpler and slower life. Life wear screens are less present, and where you do not have to think about what and what not to plug.
How many times have you thought of listening to your favourite songs but realise your wireless earphones have (yet again) no battery left? Or how many times have you asked yourself why you have to plug your phone for the hundredth time (hello bluetooth)?
While my old square Ipod still works, I enjoy listening to my old playlists taking me back to my teen years. However, having subscribed to a streaming music channel, I prefer to keep my music on my phone, and to have unlimited songs on it.
Though when it comes to earplugs, I have to say I have mixed feelings. While it’s convenient to have wireless earphones to avoid unknotting the wires of wired earphones and to do practice sports, wired earphones also have perks.
You never have to worry about their battery running out and you rarely lose them.
I think having both is smart, according to what you want to do with them. Keeping wireless earphones for good battery days and sport practice while having wired earphones when you travel.
What about you? Do you stream your music or are you going back to your Ipod?
Do you prefer wireless earphones or wired ones?
