What does free the nipple mean?
It can mean going topless or not wearing a bra (the second definition is broader to me).

Why do some women don’t (always) wear bras?
Because it feels like freedom and it can be more comfortable (some bras hurt especially the « corbeille » bras). Because they are proud of their body. It can also be because of their cost or because they struggle finding a bra their size. Some women don’t wear bras for medical reasons as well.

What you need to know about women who don’t wear bras:
They are not necessarily lesbians (and for those who are they have the right to). You should admire them. Doing so is about body confidence.
Why are so many people shocked by topless women and not by topless men?

Well technically it’s odd because men and women both have nipples. The only difference is that (most of the time) men are flatter than women in that area. In fact, when you think about it girls don’t wear bras when they are little and start wearing bras when their breasts get bigger.
It’s not okay to: call a woman a whore or a slut or to consider her as a « fille facile » because she is braless or topless. Respect her choice.

Changing mentalities:
Even if this subject is controversial, more and more women go braless and topless. For instance you can see women who go topless on the beach without necessarily being judged and I believe this is a good thing. Many celebrities went braless or/and topless: Cara Delevingne, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Anniston and many more.

Conclusion?
To all the women out there: you should be proud of your boobs whether they are small, medium or big. Nobody is perfect: some women want bigger boobs but you know what? Models often have small boobs: small boobs are beautiful. Some women want smaller boobs: you probably feel some discomfort while running etc but keep in mind that big boobs are sexy.

It’s your decision: I am not saying you should go topless or braless if it’s not okay with you. It’s all about being comfortable and loving your body. And if going braless or topless helps you achieve that well go for it lady! If you prefer to stay faithful to your bra because you are not comfortable taking it off well do you!
What do you think of braless/topless women? Do you feel comfortable with going braless/topless? If you have other thoughts on boobs/body positivism feel free to share them in the comments.
PS: congrats to the IG account @genderless_nipples who proudly post male and female nipples.
And guys: your nipples are nice too 😉
