Hello everyone! I hope you are well. I stayed in London during the holidays with my mum, other family members and friends and I discovered many beautiful clothes. Here are the exhibits and shops worth stopping by in London.
1/Fashion throughout centuries at the V & A

The white wedding: when Victoria and Albert married in 1840, brides wore white silk or fine white muslin.

The modern woman 1925/1940: Jersey and resort collections emerged. Chanel brought about the trouser suit.

The pursuit of perfection 1940/1960: Paris started to embody the centre for the design and production of luxurious high fashion.

Italian Style 1960/1970: Rome, Milan and Florence became important fashion centres.

Deconstructing fashion 1975/1985: Vivienne Westwood’s clothes were in keeping with the punk trend which emerged in the late 1970s.

From the 1990s it is the radical fashion era. Collector Mark Reed bought many pieces from designer Jean-Paul Gaultier. In the mid 1990s the stealth luxury was trending.
2012/2015: London contemporary menswear. Craig Green and James Long among others embody this kind of clothing. Their textiles are innovative and they use digital printing as well as tie-dying. These clothes were designed in London and produced in India and in Portugal. They belong to the fashion journalist Charlie Porter.

2/Manolo Blahnik exhibit at the Wallace Collection

His designs embody his affection for nature and remind us of the Commedia dell’Arte.
Here are my favourite shoes from the designer:

3/Peruvian exhibit at the fashion and textile museum: (21 June/8 September 2019)
In Peru, costumes indicate the community and region of inhabitants, their marital status, occupation, artistic skill and economic status.

4/Butler & Wilson
This shop is just amazing. It embodies the bling bling style of one of my idols: Phillip Plein. B & W sell clothes and jewels.
I bought cheetah earrings from the shop, and my mum a brooch and earrings (her birthday present from my brother and I).

This is what the shop looks like:

So what do you think of this shop and exhibits? Which is your fave?
