Spring nail trends, tips and must-haves

In Spring, trees blossom, the air is warmer and mornings are brighter. Well spring trends actually embody the characteristics of this season and the nail go-to’s of the season are proof.

1/Glitter

As I said in my previous article Meeting the Vogue team: My Vogue experience, glitter is really fashionable right now. During several Spring fashion shows, models’ nails were painted with glitter polish. At Tom Ford, two contrasting nail varnishes were used: a bright glitter and a sheeny black. During the Fenty x Puma show, the model wore a warm bronze nail polish.

How to master the trend at home:

I chose to paint my nails with a Kiko lavander nail varnish, as lavender is one of the hit colors of the season. Then, I applied a layer of a Sephora glitter top coat. It’s a mermaid style nail polish look. This is a really easy nail art look to try at home!

2/Red/Pink

Red and pink are a must this season, including on nails. Numerous models rocked the trend during Spring fashion shows. At Blumarine, the red was fruity. During the Fenty x Puma show, the pink was neon. If you want to try the trend at home, chose a bright red or pink.

3/Neutral?

At the Chloé and Chanel Spring fashion shows, models’ nails were painted with transparent polish. Natural hues are in fact really in right now. However, Philipp Plein added a twist to the trend: during his Spring fashion show, the models had nude polish on their nails topped with a glitter accessory. If you want to reproduce the trend at home, follow Chloé and Chanel’s take on the trend if you feel like it, or if your prefer, follow Phillipp Plein’s take on the trend and pick your favorite glitter accessories and glue them on your nails with a nail glue.

4/Long-lasting nail polish perfect for Spring

I love my two Madina nail varnishes. My mum bought them to me in Italy and I love them so much! They make your nails shiny and they stay on your nails for quite a long time. I have a purple one which is a really nice color for Spring. The other one I have has a wonderful spring-like neutral brown hue.
