How to customize your sneakers

My parents recently bought me a pair of Stan Smith. I love these shoes but the thing is everybody has the same. I decided to transform their look and make them my own in order to stand out. Here are 5 ways to change your sneakers’ appearance.

1/Laces

Why not buy printed, glitter or neon laces? The possibilities are endless. I really like the gingham ones, as it is a major trend right now. You can find a pair here: https://www.lacetsfun.com/lacets-chaussures-rouges/1328-lacets-vichy.html

2/Ribbons

You probably have a sewing box (or maybe your mum has one) with beautiful ribbons in it. My favorite are light pink ribbons. I believe it makes sneakers more girly.

3/Brooch

Put your favorite brooch around the laces of your shoe to give them some cool vibes. I chose to try this look with my Carven arow brooch.

4/Findges

If you want original sneakers, pick shoe frindges. You will find a huge selection of those on Raoulle’s website ( http://www.raoulleshop.com/ )

5/Get the help of experts
Some websites are specialized in sneakers customization.
-Adidas and Nike allow you to customize your sneakers online.
-The website Mr. Monkies ( http://mrmonkies.com/ ) designs out of the ordinary sneakers.

Furthermore, if you live in Paris, go to Le Bon Marché. They have a workshop called “l’atelier du soulier” at the second floor -it is opened untill 20th August. Go to the store with a pair of sneakers and customize them as you like : glitter, markers, graffitis… Post a picture of your new sneakers on Instagram with the hashtag #AtelierDuSoulier. The five most original creations will win a 200 Euro worth gift card to spend at le Bon Marché.
